Baxter's Story...
Meet Baxter a 1 1/2 year old tan Lab, he is neutered, has the microchip and is HW negative, and UTD on shots. Baxter is such a sweet boy, he loves attention! It takes awhile for him to warm up to you, but once he does he is all about getting the attention he deserves. He does great around children, other dogs, not so much with cats. He does do great on a leash. Baxter would make a wonderful, loving pet for your family

Southern Skies Labrador Rescue & Adoption, Inc. (SSLR) is a non-profit dedicated to the rescue and adoption of Labradors and other working dog breeds that have been abandoned at Alabama kill shelters, owner surrenders and strays. We strive to communicate for the voiceless by working closely with local and national animal rescues and other groups for the benefit of animal welfare and to promote changes in our local Alabama laws. We dedicate ourselves to educate and communicate the importance of spaying and neutering your pets to our local and neighboring communities.

We take special care to match the right home with the right dog, ensuring a lifetime of love for both the pet and the adopter. You are required to fill out a pre-adoption application to get qualified, provide vet and other references, allow a home inspection and sign adoption agreement and pay an adoption donation.
