Looking for an unbelievably sweet and lovable dog? Look no further, because you just found your new best friend in MALAKYE. Malakye is a two-year-old pit bull mix who loves people and enjoys the company of other dogs. He would make a wonderful family pet! Malakye loves to go for walks and play in the yard, and he also knows how to calm down and snuggle with people. He's an all-around special dog. Malakye would need a yard in his new home, and he'd also benefit from a daily walk or a game of fetch. Malakye knows how to sit on command, and he's already house trained. Please come to the El Cajon Animal Shelter and get to know our beautiful boy. Malakye will be waiting for you in kennel #46. When you get here, just ask our helpful staff if you and Malakye can get better acquainted in our lovely play yard. You'll be so glad you did!
Shelter Info...
We are the Animal Shelter for the City of El Cajon. We also house animals for the City of La Mesa. We take in strays and animals relinquished by their owners from these two City's only. We adopt out the animals that are not claimed by their owners. You do not have to live within the City to adopt an animal from us. We sometimes have animals other than dogs and cats.
We are located in the City of El Cajon which is east of San Diego. 1275 N. Marshall is two blocks north of Fletcher Parkway, Marshall runs parallel with the trolley tracks.
We are open Tuesday thru Saturday 10am to 5pm. The latest we start an adoption is 4:30. We are closed Sundays and Mondays.
Our adoption fee for dogs is $80.00 and cats are $80.00 All other animal adoption fee's are based on the type of animal.
We do an evaluation with you and the animal to be sure that it is the best animal for you. We require that all children in the household under 9 years old be evaluated with the animal and if you are adopting a dog and you currently own a dog, your dog needs to be evaluated with the new dog to be sure they get along.
