LUCY III's Story...
My name is LUCY III, and I am the sweetest 10 year old spayed female Jack Russell Terrier in the world. I have a lovely tan and white smooth coat. I have lived with my owner all my life and it is with great sadness that I need to find a new home without kids. My owner now has a husband and there is a new baby in my house, but I don’t like the new baby very much. I would be very happy in a home with an older owner or couple who would like to have me cuddle and sit with you on the couch while you read or watch TV. But I also like to go for walks and play in the back yard. I am in excellent health, so don’t let the fact that I just celebrated my 10th birthday keep you from meeting me. Jacks can live to be 18-20 years old, so I have a long life ahead of me to be your companion and friend. I am completely housetrained and crate trained. I am microchipped and heartworm tested negative. All my shots are current. My teeth are beautiful and sparkly clean because I have just had a dental cleaning. I am very loving and affectionate and cuddly. I like to sleep in your bed if that’s OK with you and I love to swim, catch a ball and jump back in the pool for a swim. I don’t do well with cats but I do get along with larger male dogs. No other female dogs in the household, please, as I don’t get along well with other female dogs, a typical trait in the Jack Russell Terrier breed. I am completely doggie door trained and am able to stay at home by myself if you have to go shopping. I really need a new home where I won’t be in the way and will be loved because I am starving for affection. And I don’t understand what has happened to me since I was so happy in my home until the baby came along, and now things have changed so much for me that I don’t feel welcome at my home anymore. My adoption fee is $200. Won’t you please call Sue at 480-391-9837 or email her at rescue@jrtconnection.com for an Application for Adoption? I’m waiting for you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LUCY III, a Scottsdale Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
