Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Little Precious Honey:
Honey is a one year old small-size plotthound/shepherd mix. She weighs 43 pounds. Honey is a quiet and SUPER MELLOW dog! She is LOW MAINTENANCE big time! She would be perfect for a quiet home or for someone that wants a young dog but doesn't want all the high activity that goes with it! Here are some of her good points:
• Housetrained 100% (no accidents in her foster home ever!)
• Dog door trained
• A very quiet girl
• Gentle and quet energy
• Doesn't bother strangers when they come over (you don't need to pull her away from the door when the mailman comes or the UPS man drops off a package. Nor does she bother visitors.)
• Does not jump up on people - well mannered in the house and yard
• Good with other dogs
• She has not been around cats, but would probably be good with cats because of her mellow demeanor. If you have a cat an introduction would be necessary.
• Not destructive (NO CRATING NECESSARY!) - trustworthy in the home
• Does not dig holes in the yard
• She has very cute mannerisms. She likes to run to her dog bed when she wants to be petted and/or get a belly rub! She has a playful side where she just wags her tail non-stop and sticks her butt up into the air!
• She has the cutest little "helicopter ears" (one up one down)!
• Up-to-date on shots and is spayed
• Likes to sleep in her own dog bed
No shedding - very short hair!
She has been living with a foster family who has found her easy to love and she is loving back! She is very shy and mellow, so the perfect home for her would be a quiet home with no children and/or older children. A new adopter would need to give Honey a little adjustment time to bloom in a new home and must be willing to give her much tender love!
Honey has been checked out medically by a vet. All blood tests will be provided. She is healthy except for a low-grade valley fever result. She is currently taking medicine that will be provided upon adoption. Honey was found as a stray and rescued from the county pound. She has a few scars and scratches from her earlier life on the street but nonetheless is a darling dog indeed.
