Cali's Story...
Cali is a stunningly beautiful dog! She has a gorgeous golden-colored coat and ice-blue eyes! She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside! She is just over a year old and a petite 38 lbs. Cali is very sweet and loves other dogs and kids. She is also fine with cats. Cali was picked up as a stray and taken to the county shelter where she was scheduled to be euthanized for "fear". Poor girl was terrified in the shelter! When we brought her home, she was still very afraid, but despite that, she never once growled or showed her teeth. She has a very gentle nature! She is still shy, but has come out of her shell and continues to gain confidence every day. Cali loves walks now and is very good on a leash. She is crate trained and house-trained! Cali is very comfortable around other dogs and needs to go to a home with at least one other dog in the household. Cali's adoption fee is $200 and that includes spay, microchip, DAPP and rabies vaccinations and county licence. If you are interested in meeting Cali, please contact Delon.Washo@asu.edu or 602-295-4518.

AZ Prussian Snailhound Dog Rescue would like to remind everyone that dogs are a big commitment and require a lot of attention. dogs often exhibit undesirable behaviors such as chewing and digging. Of course they also are a lot of fun and are very lovable too. When choosing a dog/puppy please consider how much time you will be able to spend training and socializing your new pet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cali, a Phoenix Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Husky for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Husky dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Husky breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
