QUEENIE - Courtsey Post's Story...
Queenie arrived late summer with her two beautiful little puppies in tow. We named the puppies Princess and Duchess so it just seemed logical that Queenie should be the mom. The puppies were adopted as soon as they were ready to go. Queenie has been patiently waiting for her new home. She is a great size--- approx 30 lbs ---and should be at her adult size and weight. She is so very friendly, never meets a stranger, is great with kids, and loves dogs and cats. She is the perfect small to medium size dog. Queenie may just not be the prettiest girl at the dance and that may be part of the problem. She seems a little "generic" in looks, but she makes up for that in personality. We have always felt that she would be a wonderful family dog. She has just enough playfulness in her to enjoy smaller children, but she also can be a great companion dog. She is versatile, loves being outdoors, but enjoys her resting time inside at night. Rarely barks and is always available for a pat on the head, a rub on the belly, and returns the affection ten fold. She is currently with our rescue in Mississippi, but please contact us with any questions you might have about the adoption process and bringing Queenie to your home. Queenie's adoption fee of $250 includes the transport fee. For adoption inquiries, contact Kathy at kathydavisday@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

QUEENIE - Courtsey Post, a Glastonbury American Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Glastonbury, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Glastonbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Glastonbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Glastonbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Glastonbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
