Twyla's Story...
Why Choose me?
Twyla is a darling little dog who is a recent mama. Don’t let her current matronly figure throw you though, in a couple of months she’ll be back to her normal, svelte self. When Twyla saw us walking down the row that contained her run, she sat sweetly and quietly at the door, her tail wagging expectantly. We take the dogs out in order though, so she had a little bit of a wait for her turn. The closer we got to her run, the more excitedly her tail wagged, and she started quietly making little whiny humming noises. When we got to the run next to hers, she couldn’t stand it any more and just had to bark – isn’t it my turn YET?? When we got her out she was a doll, leaning against us for pets and waggling her whole rear end with excitement. She looks a bit worried in her pictures, and she is just a little scared, but she is all wags and kisses when you visit with her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Twyla, a Athens American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Athens, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Athens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Athens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Athens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Athens paves the way for another one to be saved.
