Dude's Story...
Why Choose me?
This big handsome boy is new to the pound, but he seems pretty unconcerned about the whole situation. When we took him into the interaction pen, the first thing he did was pee – for what seemed like 20 minutes. So either this boy is housebroken, or he’s naturally used to keeping his sleeping and living quarters clean. He’s a friendly boy, and although he doesn’t seem to know any commands, it didn’t take us long to show him how to sit for a treat. He wasn’t too bad on a leash and he’s in great shape (although not neutered) so he’s probably had a pretty good life so far. Hopefully his family will find him soon, but that is never a given.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dude, a Athens Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever for sale in Athens, or seeking a Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Athens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Athens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Athens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Athens paves the way for another one to be saved.
