Boomer's Story...
This handsome little guy is Boomer, a 1 1/2 year old Australian cattle dog that is looking for a wonderful, forever home. Boomer was adopted by someone as a young pup, then given away when they no longer wanted him. The people that took him in had no time for him so he spent the majority of his life in a crate. They turned Boomer in and now he is hoping to start over again. Boomer is such a love. With being let down twice in his young life, you would think he would hold it against people but he does not. He just loves everyone he meets! Boomer is a little bit shy upon meeting new people but he warms up very quickly. Once he gets to know you, he'll crawl up next to you and not want to leave your side. Boomer is well behaved and will sit and shake nicely when asked. He gets along well with other dogs but would prefer a home with no cats or children under the age of 10. Boomer is so deserving of a great home where he will be loved and cared for the way he should be, and never given up on again. 12/17/12 File#22154

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boomer, a Forked River Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
