Buffy's Story...
Ruff! My name is Buffy and I'm a beautiful, big mastiff/retriever gal. I'm 2 years old and weigh about 80 pounds. I have a deep brindle fur that's a beautiful shade of chocolate that you can just simply snuggle your face into since it's so soft!

I may be a big girl, but I'm such a pup at heart. When I'm outside, I sometimes don't realize how big I am and end up just playing and chasing small dogs. I'm so friendly and playful that I tend to be submissive and wouldn't even dare to hurt another dog.

When I'm home, my foster loves that I take food and treats gently from his hands and that I keep myself entertained by spending hours playing with toys. I also try to cuddle with him in bed, but I sometimes forget how big I am and end up kicking him off the bed by accident! That just shows how much love and slobber I want to give ;-)

In my previous foster's house, I lived with both children and cats and loved them too! I'm also house-trained, spayed and up-to-date on all my shots!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buffy, a Long Beach Mastiff/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff/Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Mastiff/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff/Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Mastiff/Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
