Shadow's Info...

Shadow's Story...
Meet Shadow, the smart little ninja. Shadow lives up nicely to her name, in low-light situations she becomes a shadowy shape with only two expressive eyes and a spot of white on her throat showing through. She is remarkably smart and sociable, she learned to communicate very quickly and is never afraid of visitors, not even visiting children.

Her favorite playthings include the laser pointer, which she will stalk like a wildcat rather than chase erratically across the floor, and little felt mice, which she loves to swat about and carry proudly in her mouth when she's finished. She does not limit her playtime to just these, however, and will play with any toy or any item she can interpret as a toy (boxes, plastic bags, straws, strings, etc) when she's in the mood. Playfighting with her brother Oreo is another of the activities she loves to partake in. One of her quirkier habits is her love of suckling on certain fabrics, such as cotton-knit blankets and furry plush toys.

When she's not in a playful mood, she will often enjoy a nice warm lap, shoulder or tummy to snuggle on. She is a very playful kitten, yet quite well-behaved, with not an ounce of aggressiveness in her. In spite of her short-hair fur, it's very soft to the touch, so petting and snuggles are always an enjoyable thing. She was rescued July 18, 2012 when she was just 3 months old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Montreal Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Montreal, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Montreal.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Montreal already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Montreal breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Montreal paves the way for another one to be saved.
