My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

November 2016: Check out Harvey on "Fetch Me A Home" - http://www.wlbz2.com/news/local/fetch-me-a-home-harvey/336503319

Harvey is a three-year-old gorgeous, outgoing and fun-loving guy. He will need a placement with an active family who will provide consistent good leadership in addition to exercise and play opportunities. He has attended some classes and is a fast learner. Harvey walks well on a harness and just loves to run and play! His snow white coat is beautifully marked with black spots and speckles. He is housebroken and crate-trained though the crate is not his favorite place. He loves his furry foster sister and loves to play with other dogs; he sometimes greets them with too much exuberance so he needs his humans to remind him that calmness is good!

Harvey tried to chase the cats he was introduced to so he will need a feline-free home.

He loves to snuggle with his foster dad in his recliner when it's time for a nap. Harvey is not a big fan of the water, but he LOVES running around with his fleece toys. He will also play catch but does not always return the ball.

Harvey is ready to find his forever home! His one vice is that he has a hard time meeting other dogs on leash, so this makes it hard for him to get to know new furry friends or family members. We have a trainer who works with us to help with introductions. Once he meets a dog he likes, he does well and loves to play. Harvey would LOVE a home in the country with a fenced yard where he can run and play to his heart's content. He needs a good healthy amount of exercise and the opportunity to use his smart border collie brain. We don't really know his breed(s) because his parents were unknown. He was a stray who was saved by our southern rescue partner as a young guy.

To apply to adopt Harvey or any of our sweeties, please check out our application on our website, www.luckypuprescue.org.

Please note: We do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.

Thank you for considering rescue!

Harvey is being fostered in southern Maine while he waits for his active and fun family to find him!
