I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
Please give me a good home!
This is a precious little cuddle bug. She is potty pad trained. She is calm and just wants to cuddle next to you. She loves to hit the mouse on the computer to see the light flash and will sit next to you and watch the games you are playing on the computer. I believe she would be idle with any child from 8yrs old and up. She loves to play tug of war and has a jump rope from Dollar tree that we trail on the floor and she chases and shakes. She has her crinkly, squeky from TJ Maxx that she will nibble for hours. She plays with other dogs and is submissive to them. She is always kissing on my dogs. She will go in her mesh carrier to rest and hides her toys from the other dogs in her carrier.
All of the animals listed by San Antonio Pets Alive! were rescued from euthanasia in San Antonio, Texas. Over 20,000 animals were euthanized in San Antonio in 2011, and we are working hard to turn San Antonio into a no-kill city. By adopting a rescue animal from SAPA!, you not only save the life of that animal but the life of the additional animal who gets to take their place in a foster home.
If you are interested in saving a life and adoptiong from San Antonio Pets Alive!, please send an email to rescueme@sanantoniopetsalive.org with the pet's name and ID #. Please allow us up to 24 hours to respond as all fosters work with us on a volunteer basis. Rescue Group Info...
San Antonio Pets Alive (SAPA!) is a new organization that will be modeled after the very successful Austin Pets Alive (APA). APA was instrumental in helping Austin achieve their goal of no longer euthanizing healthy, adoptable pets from the city shelter. SAPA has teamed up with Animal Care Services in order for the city of SA to reach their no-kill goal.
In partnership with San Antonio’s Animal Care Services, we are implementing innovative and progressive programs to:
Rescue as many pets as possible off of the daily “euthanasia list”. In our rescue program, to not duplicate work of other agencies, we focus solely on the pets who have already been passed over by other groups and the shelters’ adoption programs and create programs to save their lives and find them new homes.
Our rescue program is focused 100% on the dogs and cats who are about to be killed. We wait until the shelters have chosen the pets they want for their adoption programs and other rescue groups have pulled the pets that they can take, then we go in and rescue the rest that we can fit into our programs.
