Duckie's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Duckie was just a pup when he first started being bounced around on craigslist. By the time he was nearly a year old, he had been so mistreated that he had lost all desire to interact with people and had grown terribly untrusting and defensive. He was so frightened of new people.  Now thriving in foster care, Duckie is nearing two years old and a much different dog.  He will still need a patient home, where there are no children. He does much better when he has another little dog to show him how to properly interact with the new person. Duckie would do best with at least one other small dog (preferably female).

About Delaware Alliance for Animal Welfare Groups, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

DELAWARE ALLIANCE FOR ANIMAL WELFARE GROUPS, INC.

We are a 501C3 tax-exempt organization. Our Mission is to measurably improve the lives of unwanted domestic animals and to prevent their needless suffering and death; to increase public awareness of the plight of these animals; to rescue, maintain and place animals abandoned to kill-shelters and discarded by volume breeders; and finally, to educate the public about the social issues associated with pet overpopulation and the benefits of spaying and neutering their pets.

Our Adoption Process...

Our fees are based upon age and health of the dogs and cats. All applicants are required to complete an application and agree to a home visit. We require a signed contract.
