Millie's Story...
Why Choose me?
Millie is a Lhasa Apso in need of a good grooming. She was very patient when the workers of Animal Control tried to help her with her matted coat. It’s my understanding, however, that someone who grooms dogs is going to help Millie out tomorrow. To make sure she’s on the web site, I did go ahead and take a few pictures. Look beyond the tangles and need for a bath, and you can see what a pretty girl Millie is. She’s a sweetie, too. We went for a walk and she was great on a leash. She was so happy, she pranced when she walked. Millie also let me pet and hold her. I was surprised that her coat was so soft. I’ll try to take more pictures of Millie after she is groomed, but come meet Millie today. She’d love to go for a walk with you.

Please refer to the animal's ID number when calling animal control.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Millie, a Athens Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in Athens, or seeking a Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Athens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Athens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Athens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Athens paves the way for another one to be saved.
