Ferris is a one year old yellow lab mix. He is a SWEET boy! He starts off a sweet, sweet, submissive, love bug! He gets along with other dogs, kids, and everyone he has met so far. He sleeps in a crate at nihgt. He is fostered with another dog and teenagers who have already fallen in love! Ferris is a great dog so far! He needs to settle into his foster home as he just arrived on December 29th. As we get to know this sweet one better, we will update the description. UPDATE: Ferris weighs 41 pounds, he is a bit shy but loves attention. He likes to be pet and have his tummy rubbed. He is being let out on a regular schedule and had had no accidents in the house. He will sit for treats and take them gently. He loves his treats. He was quiet all night in his crate and did not have any accidents. Once he bonds he will wag his tail easily when he sees you or when you speak to him. This animal is currently fostered in a private home. Our rescue is 100% foster home based. We do not have a shelter or kennel. They are cared for by a loving family until adopted. Each pup has had their first vet exam, a shot, and de-worming, etc We make sure they have no fleas prior to going into our foster homes. They are fostered out of the shelter at least two weeks or more prior to adopting to monitor health. We take their care seriously!
Please note that the adoption appointments will be scheduled after your application is approved. Once adopted, feel free to change the dog's name. You do not have to keep the name listed in this post.
#####PLEASE BE SURE YOUR APPLICATION IS COMPLETE OR IT WILL NOT BE PROCESSED. PLEASE BE SURE TO LIST THE NAME AND NUMBER OF THE VET'S OFFICE THAT CARED FOR YOUR PRIOR OR CURRENT PET. #####

Rescue Group Info...
The mission of Sheryl’s Den Animal Rescue Inc., a charitable, not-for-profit 501c3 organization, is to rescue and supply animals, regardless of age or medical condition, with love, shelter, food, human companionship, medical care, and spay-neuter services until permanent placement is secured into a pre-screened loving home.
Sheryl’s Den will accept animals who are either abandoned in a shelter or living with an owner who can no longer supply care. We will also participate in rescue and placement of animals who are culled from the Puppy Mills or purchased at Puppy Mill auctions.
We wish to eliminate the euthanasia of healthy adoptable animals. We do not accept euthanasia as a means of population control for animals. We believe each animal's life is meaningful and each deserves a loving home. Educating and informing the public about the commercial dog industry, over population, and the need to spay and neuter companion animals is our goal. Responsible pet ownership is also very important to us, as well as reviving the spirit of volunteerism across our country.
Our volunteers are willing to foster or otherwise assist in this rescue effort. We are supported entirely by donations, adoption fees, and fund raisers.
Our goal is to ensure that the animals are not needlessly euthanized anywhere in America because of the lack of medical care or an available, loving home
We will set an appointment for you upon receipt of an approved application. FOSTER homes are urgently needed. More puppies and adult dogs can be rescued with your help. A two to two and a half week commitment is required. A crate, medical care and food are provided.
You will start the adoption paperwork by submitting an online application at www.sherylsden.org Be sure to list the names of all the dogs you are interested in.
Please remember to contact your vet to provide consent for them to speak with us. We promptly process the application and notify you by email when we have completed the processing.
This process is usually within 48 hours. Upon approval, we contact you via telephone to discuss your interest in detail.
We will discuss all medical care given and required regarding the dog you are interested in.
Thereafter, we will promptly set an appointment for you to meet the dog. Our adoption Contract will be forwarded to you in advance so that you can review same before leaving your home.
We ask that you bring the completed Contract and an adoption donation in the amount of $300.00 to your appointment. Your donation at the time of adoption ensures that Sheryl’s Den will be able to continue to help more animals in need.
Upon adopting, you will receive a tax receipt, complete medical records, information regarding pet insurance, etc. Please remember, when you adopt you are making a lifetime commitment to your new fur kid/pet.
Sheryl's Den is a non profit corporation...a small rescue dedicated to saving dogs that otherwise would not make it out of high kill shelters. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER all our pups are fostered in loving climate controlled homes. We adopt out of state as long as your application is approved and you are willing to come to NJ in order to meet and adopt.
