Holly Belle's Story...
Sweet tiny Holly Belle was found tossed out on an Eastern KY road a couple of days before Christmas. Please check out her sad before pictures. She was missing a ton of hair due to severe flea infestation, was shaking uncontrollably due to being so tiny (2.5lbs) and was just a rack of skin and bones. Luckily for Holly, a rescuer saw her standing in the middle of annisolated road and scooped. Her up. Holly is now 3.3lbs and will be a healthy weight around 4lbs. She is approximately 5 years old. Keep in mind that tiny chihuahuas can easily live to be 15years old. Holly is the ultimate lap dog. She wants nothing more than to lounge in your lap all day and is a Velcro dog who follows every step her person makes. She tolerates other dogs but wants to be the #1 baby. She ignores cats. Due to Holly Belle's small size, she will not be adopted out to someone with children you ger than 10. If you are interested in adopting Holly, please email for an application or if you have any inquiries.
Holly will be spayed, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped, on flea preventative, given a fecal exam and dewormer if necessary.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Holly Belle, a Hazard Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Hazard, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Hazard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hazard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hazard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hazard paves the way for another one to be saved.
