My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, its me Kringle. Not as in Kris Kringle, but as in beagle Kringle.

I get along great with my two foster sisters, and have met several other beagles with no problems. We have had a couple of beagle houseguests that liked to play, and I ran around the yard with them. About the only time I seem to bark, is when I am playing, or want someone else to play with me. Then I can be pretty noisy, but that seems to be the only time.

Now cats, wellllllllll, I spent a weekend with a cat, and it did not go so well at all. So we have to say I will need a cat free home.

Which brings us to the matter that I will definitely need another dog in my new home. My foster family has left me alone by myself a couple of times to test me, and it did not go so well. But I have no problems when they leave and my foster sisters are home with me.

We have a fenced yard here. Foster dad has put me on a tieout, and I have done pretty good on that also.

I am “confinement challenged”. As in I really do not appreciate being in the crate, or even confined to a specific area, where I can not be around the other dogs.

My foster parents have given me the run of the 1st floor with my foster sisters since day one of my being in their home, and I have been good. The couple of times they came home and sneaked up to the house, and we were all just sleeping on the couch together.

And ooooooooooh do I like car rides. If I think you are leaving, I run to the door wanting to go with you. And if I go into the garage to help you get something out of the car, I get in the car and do not want to get out.

I do fairly well on walks. And I have done really well with the housetraining end. I quickly got into the same routine as my foster sisters. Now the one accident I had at my foster parent’s friend house, the nice vet lady, well not really my fault. Why would someone put a real pine tree in their living room anyways?

My one thing is that it seems that my prior life was not all good. If you bend over and call me to you, I duck and cower like you are going to punish me for obeying. Or if you have to pick me up to move me, like out of the way of the door, I also cower.

But on the other hand, if you invite me to jump up on the couch or chair by you, I will gladly do so, and snuggle up with you. Though I am more then happy to invite myself up to snuggle. Then there is this whole big bed thing. Seems to be some rule about foster dogs not being up there, but I would please, please, like to sleep up there. And the times I sneak up there, I love to crawl under the covers and sleep right next to you.

So if you would like a sweet, snuggly boy, who likes a good road trip, I am the one!!.
