Lucy's Info...
| Breed: | Australian Kelpie/German Shepherd Dog Mix | Color: | Black | Age: | Adult |
| Size: | Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg) | Sex: | Unknown | ID#: | 5279625 |
I am already spayed/neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with kids.
Lucy arrived to our care on 12-30-12. She is a very sweet and intelligent girl. She knows the 'sit' command, is crate trained, and appears to be housebroken. She is eager to please and learns quickly. She is active and would be a great hiking or jogging companion, but she is equally happy to cuddle up on the couch. She soaks up attention and will nudge gently with her nose when the petting stops.
She prefers the company of humans over that of other animals. She would probably be happiest as the only dog but we will gladly do an introduction if there is already a dog in your home to see if they get along. She does have great curiosity about cats and thinks they are fun to chase. We believe she could be trained not to do that but it may take some time and patience. She weighs about 32 lbs.
We are taking a wild guess at what breeds she might be made up of. The important thing is she is a wonderful dog. That is what matters to us, we don't care what breeds her parents were.
For more information or to set up a meeting with her, email cindy@asap-usa.org or call 815-568-2921.

Our goal is to find permanent homes for our cats and an adoption fee is not a requirement but a donation is welcome. We also recognize the important role that animals play in the lives of their owners and the wonderful homes the senior community can provide for our aging adoptable animals. We provide cats, free of charge to senior citizens and welcome them back should there come a time when they are no longer able to care for them.
Our Barn Cat Program, provides free of charge, cats to approved barns.
