Africa's Story...
Hi, I am Africa; I was born on Oct 17th, 2012.
I was rescued when I was 3 days old, my mom delivered us on the street, with no shelter. DRWB rescued us and a wonderful foster took care of us since then. I have always lived in a loving enviroment.
My mom and siblings were adopted already and found wonderful homes. I am the last one waiting for a loving and wonderful family, one who will love me forever.
I am happy, playful! But also love to relax and be in the company of other calm dogs, I prefer a calm environment.
I live outdoors mostly, socialize well with other doggies. I am a little shy with adult human males, but love females. If you adopt me, please be patient with me for a while, with time I will adjust well to adult males.
I need a home with a backyard!
My foster says I am a beautiful girl and I am!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Africa, a San Diego Rhodesian Ridgeback dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rhodesian Ridgeback for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Rhodesian Ridgeback dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rhodesian Ridgeback breeders who help with Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
