Chester's Info...

Chester's Story...
Chester is a 15 year old male, he is very sweet but takes time to adjust to one person. He prefers women and does not like other bird or children. Chester loves to whistle a few different tunes like "Row row row your boat" and "Take me out to the ball game", but runs the 2 together most the time. He will call his name out when you get up in the morning and say "Chester good boy". He loves to look out of the window during the day and likes the curtains closed at night; he will tell you when it starts getting dark, lol! Chester also loves to ride on your shoulder, but he prefers to not be held. Chester is not a very quite bird, he will get excited and begin to vocalize excessively and takes sometime to settle down, he also does not like new things. He is a sweet bird but needs some bad habits changed. Chester was on a seed only but has now been converted to a pelleted diet and we are beginning to introduce vegetables and some fruits as well. Chester will make a good companion for the right home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chester, a Tampa Cockatiel was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cockatiel for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Cockatiel from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cockatiel breeders who help with Cockatiel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
