Dev's Story...
My name is Dev and I am a 9.5 yr old mixed lab male. I may look older because of my mask but I still have spring in me step. I am currently 82lbs but need to gain about 10lbs to cover my back bone and ribs. I was dropped off with my sister at a farmers home in MI. and we followed him around but he kept us in the barn and couldn't keep us so turned us into an animal shelter where my sister passed. I was saved and love to carry a ball and if you take it from me I will play fetch. I love being around another dog but don't really play with them so much. I just want companionship and love attention. I am house trained and easy to walk. What more can you ask for?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dev, a Oak Brook Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Oak Brook, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Oak Brook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Brook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Brook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Brook paves the way for another one to be saved.
