Dusty's Story...
If you want a snuggly kitty, "Dusty" is the boy for you!! He is a beautiful black kitty with a tiny bit of white chest and big gold eyes who is looking for a forever home. I say FOREVER cuz his former owner moved and didn't take him along. He's very loving and friendly and he's already neutered, so he's ready and more than willing to get out of this cage and into his new loving home! Won't you come to the Shelter and ask to visit with him? He is a fun character and will thank you in many ways! He's in cage #101 and will be soooo very glad to meet you! You won't be disappointed!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dusty, a El Cajon Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
