Blake's Story...
Hi my name is blake and one day I was free and the next I end up at a high kill shelter, then my angel came to rescue me out of that place before I got killed. When my rescuer got me and took me to the vet they learned that I had heart worms. My foster mom said it would be perfectly ok for to go through treatments and she would love me through it. I'm currently going through treatment and praying that when they retest me I will be heart worm neg. I'm a really big love, I just want a family of my own. I get along with other dogs and cats. I'm also house trained and my foster mommy says that I listen very well to her.

Update from her foster:

Blake is awesome. She is housebroken, cat safe and gets along with children and all other dogs. She would be wonderful for a home that wants a dog but has to have one that doesn't shed and has little dander. She is wire haired and does not shed at all. She also keeps herself very clean.

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
On August 1, 2012, we decided as dedicated animal lovers, having the experience we have, to start another rescue organization. The name H.B.A.R. (Heavenly Bundles Animal Rescue, Inc.) was chosen and the group was incorporated as a non-profit corporation on August 20, 2012.

MISSION STATEMENT- Heavenly Bundles Animal Rescue offers an alternative to traditional animal shelters in the middle Georgia area by providing a no-kill safe haven for homeless, abused, or abandoned animals with our focus being on pregnant dogs and cats. H.B.A.R. promotes public awareness regarding the value of animals, pet overpopulation, and quality human-animal companionship through education and outreach programs.

We are always looking for volunteers and foster homes. We currently do no have a shelter, so we strictly use the foster home system, but we would love to be in a shelter by the end of the year. That is one of our main goals.

Come Meet Our Pets...
We are currently at Pet Supermarket on Tom Hill Blvd in Macon, GA most weekends. If you are interested in going to an event please check our website for exact dates or you can email us with questions about when and where we will be on weekends.

However, we can always schedule a time to come meet you if there is a specific animal or a few that you are interested in. We want our animals to have loving homes and will do what is necessary to find them.

Our Adoption Process...
The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an adoption application. We then do reference checks, vet check and a home visit. If all that is approved, we do a meet and greet with the animal and then there is a contract that goes with every one of our animals. Our adoption fees start at $125.00. We have an "adopt two" discount and several times depending on how many puppies we have, we may discount puppy prices or adult prices.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
We currently serve the Macon, GA area and surrounding cities, but we will adopt out our animals out of state and out of county. If the adoption is out of state there will be a transport fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blake, a Dry Branch Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Dry Branch, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Dry Branch.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dry Branch already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dry Branch breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dry Branch paves the way for another one to be saved.
