Petey's Info...

Petey's Story...
Petey is an approximately 8-year-old Chow mix who was found as a stray in Fitchburg. We are just getting to know home, but he seems like a happy guy. He's a bit stubborn

If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application. Our dog adoption fee is $350. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar, leash and crate.
With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.

All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we do not have a staff. One of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Petey, a Medfield Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow for sale in Medfield, or seeking a Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Medfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow breeders who help with Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
