Smokey Klaus's Story...
I am a super lover and love people. I was dumped in a KILL shelter by my past family. They gave an excuse they could not longer care for me but wow how sad. I was sad at first when I got to my new foster home. But now have adjusted to the fact I am in a better place and my past needs to stay in the past. I love to sit on your lap and sit with you when you are relaxing. I also will give you a hug once I get to know you I like to lay on your chest and put both paws around your neck for a big hug. I weigh 18 lbs so need a new family who is able to handle picking up my big wonderful body. Please consider me if you have NO kids and NO dogs as I do not care for either. I would do fine with other cats if they are not bullies I am very docile so do not like other kitties who are nasty or rude. But am fine with nice gentle kitties. I sleep with the nice kitties on the couch. Please go to the rescues home page at www.persianpurrbaby.petfinder.com and read their policies, fees and screening procedure then email us at ccrescue614@yahoo.com for an application.

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a small rescue located in Columbus, Ohio and surrounding area. Our cats come primarily from shelters and are then vetted and put into foster homes until they are placed in a forever home. We take in cats who are at risk then put them into rescue where they are safe and are at NO risk to be put to sleep. They are in private homes being fostered and then we work to get them adopted in homes to be loved and taken care of by their adoptive family for the remainder of their lives. We take adoptions very seriously. we are not a 501c3 at this time, but do hope to gain this status in the future. We are always taking donations to help pay vet bills and buy food for the cats in foster. We do not have 501c3 status so we can NOT give a tax deductible receipt for any donations. If you are interested in donating funds and would prefer to donate directly to the veterinary clinic we use in Columbus, please send an e-mail and we can share information with you where to donate.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smokey Klaus, a Columbus Ragdoll cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ragdoll for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Ragdoll cat from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Ragdoll breeders who help with Ragdoll rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
