Maizy's Story...
Maizy is a super sweet foxhound who was found as an emaciated, stray, living at a local lake. She has the typical easy-going nature of a hound but is rather quiet for the breed. She gets along great with dogs of all sizes (from Great Pyrs. to teacup yorkies) and children. She has not been cat tested but that can be arranged. Maizy is a wonderful hound girl who would love nothing more than her own fenced in yard to run around in! Maizey has been spayed, up-to-date with vaccinations, been given dewormer, flea preventative and his heartworm negative. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maizy, a Hazard Foxhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Foxhound for sale in Hazard, or seeking a Foxhound dog from a breeder in Hazard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hazard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hazard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Foxhound breeders who help with Foxhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hazard paves the way for another one to be saved.
