Lucy's Story...
Lucy is one of Ethel's kittens who was rescued with her mother and sisters during a bad rain storm. Lucy and her sisters are a first-generation feral litter born to the most sweet and affectionate, gentle mother. Lucy is a friendly and sweet little girl, but she is still a bit timid in new situations and with new people. Her socialization is coming along wonderfully. She is ready for adoption to the right patient people who will help her continue to build her trust in her new family. Lucy has been socialized with other cats and with dogs. She actually loves dogs and other cats and would be wonderful in a home with other friendly and loving companion animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Summerville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Summerville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Summerville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Summerville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Summerville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Summerville paves the way for another one to be saved.
