I am housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Beauregard is one silly, happy, loving, high energy dog. He loves life and living and is a real favorite of his caregivers. It simply has to make you smile to be around him! And children? He adores children!
READ WHAT HIS FOSTER HAS TO SAY ABOUT HIM: Beauregard has that very sweet, gentle and loving personality you think of with Golden's. He is so soft and fluffy and his fur does not seem to matte! I bathe him right in my shower. He is completely house trained! Beau loves to go outside in our fenced in backyard. He loves other dogs! I think he would do best in a home with another playful dog. He and our 1 year old dog love to wrestle, tug and chase each other! He does like to play with humans, even kids. He likes to play keep away though and has chewed a few of the kids toys. He redirects easily.
He loves to chew antlers. We love them b/c they last a long time! He dissects the stuffed animal toys quickly to get the squeaker. Beau came from the South with heartworms and is undergoing treatment. He will be retested in early June.
He knows sit and down. He does jump, but is gentle. He gives very sweet kisses. He is a very smart dog and with a little training he will be an amazing dog. I think he could be an agility dog. He is so GREAT with my kids who are ages 3 & 5. He loves to be petted, especially loves belly rubs:)
Also, RORR is accepting donations for the costs of his treatment. He is a very special boy and worth the wait!! Beau needs a physical fence of 5 ft or greater. Beauregard can jump quite high. He hopped onto the wall behind our house which is 5-6 ft in different places. He saw the neighbor's kids up there and wanted to join them. (He has not actually jumped our 5ft fence.)

We are a small group of rescuers who have done rescue with other groups for many years.. some of us have started other rescues. we found that some rescues do not use good adoption practices and felt a new rescue can help more dogs.
all dogs currently in foster homes or still at shelters.
require application for all adoptions, require home visit, require contract with clause to return dog if can't keep. Fees vary $150- $300
check references, vets, judiciary, home ownership
