Spunky is a sleek gray/blue shorthaired boy. He is extremly shy and frightens easily.   He loves cookies and likes to beg for them.  He is very timid at first but is friendly once he gets to know you. He demands attention once he gets to know you, as a matter of fact!!

Spunky is very special and needs a very special home.  He is not ever going to be a cat that you can pick up and cuddle -- he does occasionally like to be picked up and we were working with him on that prior to our fire.  He was doing very good with the cuddles but has regressed some now.

Spunky was injured in our fire on 10/3/09.  He had melted plastic or carpet stuck to all 4of his feet.  After 2 months of treatment his feet have healed.  His paw pads are permanently fused due to the scarring and he will need help keeping his feet clean and groomed.  He is unable to spread his toes apart and cannot climb.

Adoption Application required and screened Adoption Contract required for all adoptions All animals are spayed/neutered, have age appropriate vaccinations, and have received any necessary vet care. Reduced adoption fee for adoption of bonded adult pairs or littermates. Treasures come from high-kill shelters/pounds, feral cat colonies, and high-risk situations (working known rescue groups only). WE DO NOT ACCEPT OWNER SURRENDERED PETS NOR ARE WE ACCEPTING ANY ANIMALS AT THIS TIME.
