My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Banjo is a vivacious 10 months old female Border Collie. She is a traditionally marked black and white with a semi rough coat. Banjo came to BCIN as an owner relinquishment. Her previous owners had just adopted her from a shelter, and although they did introduce Banjo to their small dog at the shelter, once she was brought home, Banjo did not get along with their dog. Banjo is a spirited and an active older pup, who thrives on exercise. Her energy is appropriate for her age, and she should settle down after time once she matures. Banjo enjoys an endless game of playing fetch and catch. When you are through, she has no problem self entertaining herself by throwing and tossing her toys up in the air. Since Banjo has previously demonstrated that she has a prey drive, she should not be adopted into a home with small dogs , cats, or pocket pets. Banjo knows some basic obedience commands like sit, however, she still requires quite a bit of training. Banjo is leash trained and walks well on a leash. She is somewhat crated trained, and likes going into her crate. She is still is learning her house manners and not to jump on you. She gets along with other dogs her own size. Banjo is a very and loving dog who enjoys being cuddled. All in all, Banjo is a really nice dog who needs a person who will be committed to training her. Banjo should blossom into a fantastic canine companion with consistent obedience. Banjo would not be ideal dog for the first time or novice dog owner.
