This sweet looking little guy is about a year old. He was rescued off the euthanasia list and is a very darling fellow who just wants a second chance at a family and a forever home! Someone was not very nice with him and he can be very nippy when frightened. He also seems to take an instant dislike to some people and love others...so something went on in his past and we are working on helping him realize it won't happen ever again. He needs a very, very special home, free of children, free of extensive new faces in and out of the home.....somewhere he can feel secure and loved and not-threatened. He needs LOTS training and to learn to trust.!!! Training by an experienced person....this is not for the first time dog household....this is not for anyone thinking they can just give him some love and he'll snap out of it. This is an issue that must be dealt with by someone who knows how. We cannot stress that enough. He is still puppy and has lots of play in him. He is cautious with strangers so a household where lots of people come and go is NOT going to be good for him. Once he trusts you, look out. He's a little doll! He is crate-trained and gets along with other dogs his own size. For more information or to submit an application, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Rescue a forever friend!
About our adoption process: For more information or to request an adoption application (required), please email the dog's foster listed above (no phone calls, please). There is no commitment by submitting the application - it just helps us determine if the pet you are interested in will be a good match for you. Next is a meet and greet which will be arranged with the pet's foster. If there are other dogs in your household, we suggest bringing them to ensure everyone gets along. The standard adoption fee for dogs and puppies is $140 (cash or check) which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, microchip and collar/tags.
