Frasier's Story...
For more information on this dog or to request an application, please email swoolcott@cox.net.

This big guy is one beautiful shepherd mix. Frasier is a very shy and protective dog in need of intense training to make him a great companion. He's a perfect example of unrealized potential. Can you help him reach it? He's a beautiful baby who likes to play, like most dogs, but he's a bit of a wild child, wild and wacky. He does know how to sit and shake hands and he learns quickly. If you take the time to work with him, he will do really well. He lives with other dogs, but he can be food and toy aggressive. He wants to make sure he keeps what he has. But that's very easy to address if you have other dogs....feed him separately and treats only once he is secured. He tries very hard to be dominant with the other dogs and will when he can get away with it. He does back down from dogs that are older and larger than he, so he would do best in a home without other animals or in a home with an older, dominant dog that won't let him get away with it. He is very friendly with people when he gets to know them, but that is a slow process. He hesitates to trust. He is very active and protective and would not do well in a home with very small children. Frasier is a member of our Forsaken Angels Club, meaning he is adoptable at a reduced rate. For more information or to submit an application, please email swoolcott@cox.net. Rescue a forever friend!

About our adoption process: For more information or to request an adoption application (required), please contact the dog's foster listed above. Not every pet is at every event so please contact us first to find out when and where you can meet the pet you are interested in. The standard adoption fee for dogs and puppies is $140 (cash or check) which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, microchip and collar/tags.

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
Benji's Buddies is a non-profit (501c3) organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of pets into permanent, loving homes.

Benji's Buddies was founded by a small group of volunteers who value every pet and believe in their unique individuality and their ability to enrich the lives of others.

We believe that adopting a pet is a lifetime commitment and that no matter what turns life may take, the responsibility and obligation to that pet as a family member should remain constant. Pets are NOT disposable! They are living beings who feel love, fear and loss. Too often in rescue work, we see the result of human cruelty and negligence. These pets are desperate to be loved though their trust has been broken. We feel they deserve better!

We seek adoptive families who understand the meaning of this commitment and want to give a home to a pet in need. By home, we mean a place of love and security...for the rest of their lives.

Come Meet Our Pets...
You can meet our dogs every Saturday from 10am - 3pm at the Petsmart in Chandler, AZ located at 855 N 54th Street Chandler, Arizona 85226.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Frasier, a Chandler German Shepherd Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Chandler, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Chandler.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chandler already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chandler breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chandler paves the way for another one to be saved.
