This baby is one gorgeous dog - you must see him in person because as hard as we tried, we just didn't do him justice in his photos. If you love big, beautiful dogs, this one is for you. He's shy with strangers....and very protective of his home. He takes a while to get to know you or trust you. He's affectionate once he considers you family and in desperate need of love as well as training. THIS DOG IS NOT SUITABLE FOR THE INEXPERIENCED. HE NEEDS REAL TRAINING! He does not come to trust easily....we think he had a bad start in life.....and it shows. He gets along with submissive dogs. He, too, was dumped, like so many others but deserves so much better. You know the story. He is most definitely worth saving and it will take a very special family to show him the way. If you have strong experience working with dogs with protective issues and you are willing to put in the time, training and effort to work with this guy, then contact us. For more information or to submit an application, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Rescue a forever friend!
About our adoption process: For more information or to request an adoption application (required), please email the dog's foster listed above (no phone calls, please). There is no commitment by submitting the application - it just helps us determine if the pet you are interested in will be a good match for you. Next is a meet and greet which will be arranged with the pet's foster. If there are other dogs in your household, we suggest bringing them to ensure everyone gets along. The standard adoption fee for dogs and puppies is $140 (cash or check) which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, microchip and collar/tags.
