Mick's Story...
Mick is an adult, male, medium size Terrier/Pit bull mix who was found tied to a pole. While there, he must've rolled in tar because after multiple baths, his fur is just starting to come clean. But he doesn't let that get him down! Mick is a happy social guy who likes his toys and enjoys spending time playing with them with his handler. He met some dogs here at the shelter and was interested in doing so, even offered some play bows to the other dogs. He has a friendly smile, happy eyes and is looking for a family to show him what love is all about, won’t you consider meeting Mick today!

Act quickly to adopt Mick. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mick, a Philadelphia Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
