Chaz's Story...
Hey Guys! My name is Chaz, and I’m a pretty cool dude. Somehow I was found on the streets of Philadelphia. I was hoping my family would come looking for me, but they never showed. But hey, their loss, right? I’m happy, friendly, and ready to rock. It’s hard to keep the ladies away from me around here, with my smooth brindle coat, big muscles, smile from ear to ear, and my bright brown eyes. I know, it’s a lot to handle all at once, but I guarantee I’ll have you wrapped around my little paw in no time. I’m a medium sized 1-2 year old Pitbull terrier mix, and I’m ready to find the perfect family for me. Could it be you?

I know I’ve been talking a lot about my good looks, but believe or not, I’m more than just a pretty face. I’m smart, athletic, talented, and a cuddler. If it was up to me, I would name myself MVP of ACCT Philly. I already know basic commands like “sit” and “down”. Since I’m so eager to learn, I want to take my training to the next level and learn tricks like “roll over”, “paw”, and “high five”. An active family would be the best fit for me. I love putting my skills to the test. I love playing wall ball with tennis balls. If you keep throwing, I’ll keep fetching. I’m a great jumper, although I’m learning that jumping can be inappropriate at times, I can also put it to good use like jumping over poles in the agility course. I mentioned my big muscles before; well I’m a pretty strong guy. Eating my Wheaties as a pup really paid off. There’s a sport for dogs called weight pulling, and I would be perfect for it (or pulling your kids on a sled through the snow works too.) Put me to work, and I’ll be happy to do the job. Need a running partner? Look no further. I won’t let you slack off.

I’m a member of the Penpal program at ACCT, and right now I have two friends that volunteer to keep me happy and stress free while I’m living at the shelter. They do things like take me to adoption events, parks, continue my training, and do whatever they can to find the best fit family to live the rest of my years out with. If you’re interested in meeting me or finding out any additional information about me please stop by the shelter at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave, Phila. or email my Penpals at xmadelx25@hotmail.com or Philipfontana22@aol.com. I’ll be looking forward to meeting you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chaz, a Philadelphia Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
