Flicker's Story...
You gotta come in and meet Flicker. She is super cool. Flicker is a medium sized, 44 pound, 1-2 year old or maybe even older than that, red Terrier Mix. Flicker is now safe at the shelter after being found roaming the streets. She has some cuts and scrapes on her face and ears. She will need a foster or adoptive home who will show Flicker some love and care. She is pretty mellow and walks somewhat decent on the leash. The volunteers here try to get Flicker out as often as possible because it appears Flicker is housetrained. Flicker is a friendly and gentle boy. Please consider meeting Flicker. Please bring in your whole family including the dogs to meet Flicker. Who knows you might end up taking her home.

Act quickly to adopt Flicker. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Flicker, a Philadelphia Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
