I am already spayed, housetrained, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Ryachu is black with white pit bull mix with striking blue "glass" eyes. She is about 4 years old. Prior to her rescue, she lived her life on a chain outside but thanks to her loving foster parents she is learning to trust humans and loves living with them in a house.
Despite her hard-scrabble background, she is a great dog and is good with all other dogs. She is also great with cats.
As you can imagine, she came to us frightened of the world. She needed encouragement to come in the door, go out the door....and you could tell she was just waiting for the next bad thing to happen to her. However, now she is wagging her tail and seeking out affection. She LOVES being told she is a good girl, and even does a little happy dance each time.
Her favorite thing (besides sleeping on the couch) is playing ball. She is an avid ball player!
She now sleeps with her foster parents in their bedroom with all their other dogs and she loves being part of the family!!
Rya, Chu-e is her nick name, started her life in a tragedy but now she is ready for her happy ending. Not only is she absolutely gorgeous, but she has an incredible disposition and personality! She really wants to please.
She is spayed/vaccinated/microchipped/dewormed. She is completely housetrained and crate trained. She does have irritable bowel disease which requires her to be on grain-free food and enzymes to be sprinkled on her food twice a day. It is a small price to pay and very affordable to keep her "regular".
This is a cross post for Measle's Animal Haven. She is looking for an indoor forever home only. A completed adoption application, a $50.00 adoption fee, meet and greet, references, and contract are REQUIRED for adoption. We will not adopt to a municipality where pit bulls are illegal.
Our normal adoption restrictions include the following: you must be at least 25 years old to adopt this animal, must have a securely fenced in yard, and must own your own home. We will consider making exceptions to these requirements on a case-by-case basis so please email us if you have any questions.
