Tinsel's Story...
This pretty girl is Tinsel. She was found in late November 2012 with a broken tail which was amputated. Do to the location of the break, Tinsel has damage to the nerves that control her bladder and bowels, therefore, she is unable to empty either on her own. She has her bladder and bowels manually expressed two to three times a day by her foster mom. Tinsel is a sweet kitty, and puts up only a slight fuss. After expressing in the litter box, she covers up what she did. Sometimes, she will dig a hole in the litter and stand there. She knows she is supposed to use it, but her parts just aren’t working yet. She is receiving medication to hopefully help those damaged nerves. Other then those issues, Tinsel is a happy, playful, loving kitty. Her injuries have not affected her mobility. She takes a bit to warm up to other kitties, but is fast to warm up to her human friends. Tinsel has not had any reaction to the dogs who live in the foster home. She does not mind having her claws clipped. It will take a very special person to love and care for Tinsel. approx DOB Dec 2010

Tinsel has just recently started wearing 'piddle pants' as she has a tendency to 'dribble' and she needs to get out of her kennel. Now she has some free run of the house. :o) appox DOB Dec 2010

About Our Rescue Group...
Tenth Life is an animal welfare organization that provides another chance at life to injured and abused stray cats. Our focus is on felines with extreme medical needs or ongoing conditions that make it difficult for typical shelters to afford their care.

Stage one of our mission is getting needy cats off the streets of St. Louis and into caring Foster Homes, where they await their forever homes. Stage two´s goal is to open a shelter building that will house special-needs kitties in a cage-free, no-kill setting until they can be carefully placed in their forever homes.

Our Adoption Process...
All potential adopters are required to complete a comprehensive application and interview, and will need to supply proper identification, as well as personal and veterinary references. Our adoption fee is $100 for kittens 6 months or younger, and $75 for any cat over six months of age. Our fee includes spay/neuter surgery, vaccines to-date of adoption, and a microchip. Once approved, all adopters are required to sign an adoption contract.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
