Simba and Yuki are absolutely delightful cats!! Yuki (the little girl) is really sweet and curious. She will trot on over be patted and is always ready to play! Simba (the boy) is more cautious and is still warming up regarding pats. But once Yuki assures him that it is safe, he'll come out of hiding. They love playing hide and seek together and race around the apartment meowing happily. They used their litter box right away and immediately learned to scratch on the cat pad we provided. They are closely bonded so definitely need to be adopted together. So cute to see them curled up together at nap time!

Update from foster: Yuki is really friendly, sweet and affectionate. She'll run to the door to greet us and loves being petted, purring delightedly the whole time. She will trot on over be patted and is always ready to play! She is really curious and fun; she enjoys following us around to see what is new and interesting. Her favourite games are playing with her cat toy balls and chasing the laser pointer.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yuki, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
