My name is Muffin. I showed up at a ladys' home with 2 newborn kittens The kind lady took us in and cared for us.
04-14-13- purrlease consider me:) I am such a sweet little rollie pollie I don't know why I haven't been scooped up yet? I do great with KIDS!!! I LOVE KIDS!!! I am very gentle and love to help with homework and reading as you can see:). I do great with dogs, I do OK with other cats but would prefer to be an only kitty (I like to show em who's boss;)).

I am a pretty little lady about 1.5-2 years old!!! I have short legs and a stunning coat! I also have pretty green eyes and a cute little round face!!! I have managed to gain some weight I didn't need to and am now on a strict diet. As you can see in my pictures I have a plump little belly!!! I am VERY friendly and loving!!! I am also very outgoing. I love to be petted!!! I am very laid back and easy going.
I am on a very strict diet! My new family must keep me on the diet and even after I am at a good healthy weight keep an eye on my weight. I am on a dry weight mangement food and a little bit of wet food in the evenings.
I get along very well with dogs. I do ok with other cats, would do best as an only cat or with a laid back kitty. I like to show em who's boss;) I also FOLLOW my foster Mommy around all day like a dog!!! I love to be with people!! I would do GREAT with children! I love to help my foster Mommy with work and will try and play with paper and her pen!!!
I have recently been vet checked and other then being about 3-4lbs over weight I received a clean bill of health. I have been spayed and I tested negative for fiv/felv and am current on my rabies vaccine (good for 3 years) and am good on my FVRCP/ distemper vaccine (good until 12/28/13). I am also micro chippd. I have been treated for fleas/ticks and de-wormed. I am also litter box trained.

*All of our kittens & cats are spayed/neutered BEFORE being adopted out (as well as tested for fiv/felv, micro chipped & caught up to date on their FVRCP shots & rabies shot if 3lbs. Kittens are fixed between 12-13 weeks old, therefore they are no younger then 12 weeks before they are adopted out (we will NOT adopt them out unless the are fixed)*

Four Paws and Tail Rescue was founded by an 18 year old girl. She has always had a big heart for animals, even at a younger age. Four Paws and Tail Rescue was founded in Ocotober of 2006. FPTR's mission is to save animals (dogs AND cats) from inhumane situations, abusive/violent situations and situations in which the animal(s) are neglected. We take these animals into our care and give them proper medical care, proper food and socialize them.
AS of right now, this rescue is very small.
We pay for everything out of thier pockets. There many times when the medical costs become very high. No matter what these animals recieve medical care ASAP! We use a variety of different vets for our animals. One vet we use is called Cherry Hill Dog and Cat Hospital they are very close to our home and we have had many emergencys and they have been kind enough to take us in. Cherry Hill doesn't do low cost spay/neuter or shots, but when we have had 2 cats needing C-Sections and kittens that were ill they took us with no problem. They have been very kind to us, especially when we had some kittens pass away.
For low cost shots and felv/fiv testing we go to the shot clinic held by Luv My Pet. They go to different Petcos (petco chrisitina and in wilmington). They have packages for testing, distemper shots, rabies shot, felv shot etc... They hold them on every Sundays from 9-12.
We use Faithful Friends for spay/neutering of our animals. It is located on Germay Drive in Wilmington. www.faithfulfriends.us- they are a no-kill shelter and have dogs & cats up for adoption as well!
Four Paws and Tail Rescue is currently NOT a 501 c3 tax exempt organization, but we hope to be one day soon. There is an adoption application to fill out before you can adopt an animal from us.

*We are a RESCUE not a shelter. This means the cats and kittens are in a foster HOME. We do NOT list our location as we are not a shelter. An application is required before meeting the kittens.
**We have an adoption cage in Concord Pet in Suburban Plaza, 312 Suburban Drive, Newark DE 19711. This is where we have a kitty in the cage in the hopes of finding a home! Dutchess is in the cage now, please go meet her she hates being in the cage!!!!
*We ReQUIRE an adoption application that MUST be completed and submitted via our website, www.fourpawsandtailrescue.org. This must be completed FIRST before we will consider you for adoption or to meet a kitten or cat.
** There is an adoption FEE as well. All of our kittens and cats are FULLY vetted before going home- they are all spayed/neutered, micro chipped, UTD on their rabies shot, receieved their series of FVRCP shots, neg. for fiv/felv, de-wormed, bathed weekly and also get their nails trimmed. We do not adopt out our kittens until they are at least 12 weeks and have been spayed/neutered, sometimes they are a little older.
Please READ our website carefully all of this is stated on our website as well as more information and pictures about the kittens and cats. Also, if an animal says "Adoption Pending" or "Adopted" this means we have an application on the kitten/cat and are processing the application if the kittens status says "Adopted" this means they have been adopted.
