Hi I'm Dominic and I'm a beautiful black and white Cocker Spaniel. I was rescued by Furry Kids' Refuge from a shelter where I was picked up as a stray. No one came to claim me so a Furry Kids' Refuge volunteer & foster took me home.
I am a very happy and loving Furry Kid and I enjoy play time with my foster buddies (all sizes). I don't always like other male dogs, especially if they are bigger than me. I have a very strong bond with my foster brother Enzo who is also a Cocker Spaniel and we love to play together. I like to play fetch, tug-of-war and chase. I love playing outside, sniffing around and exploring, I've even tried to catch a mole! My foster Mom says I really do need to have a home that has a fence because I am very active and playful outside. I have a very sweet disposition, I am a lover and I especially love to cuddle. I really just want to be by your side, and my classic move... I flop down on my back in hopes that you'll rub my belly!
I do have a small flaw, I become very attached to people very easily and quickly. I need to have people around me or another buddy to keep me company. I have experienced transitional / separation anxiety. I don't have these problems at my foster home but I have really settled in there and I feel very comfortable. I just need a little extra time, patience and love and I will be the best companion and member of your family. I do like to rough house and can get pretty rowdy with my foster buddies when we play so small children (<10) may not be the best fit for me.
I am housebroken and crate trained. I do pretty well on a leash and I am very well behaved in the car. I have been neutered, ears cleaned, vaccinated, heart worm tested negative, and a dental. I really would make a great addition to your family.
