Lola's Story...
Hi! my name is Lola and I was rescued from a very unsafe beach for dogs in Puerto Rico. I had just given birth on the beach to my two pups when my rescuers found me and took my pups and I off the unsafe beach. My babies Max and Emmy are being adopted together by a wonderful family so now I hope it is my turn. My foster family in Merrick loves and adores me and I am great with their dogs, cats and all of the people I meet. I love to play but I really love to snuggle on the couch with my foster family. I am about 2 years old, 35 lbs, spayed, fully vaccinated and heartworm negative. If you would like to meet me please email meryl@thesatoproject.com. Love and kisses, Lola :)).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lola, a Madison Labrador Retriever/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pointer for sale in Madison, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pointer dog from a breeder in Madison.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Madison already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Madison breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pointer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Madison paves the way for another one to be saved.
