Chiquita's Story...
Courtesy Listing! Please contact Beth at: and not the rescue group connected to this page!

Chiquita is a 5-month-old West Highland Terrier (Westie) mixed with most likely Maltese. She weighs about 9 lbs. A good Samaritan rescued her from the streets where she had been abandoned and left to fend for herself. Chiquita is a mellow puppy, very different from most puppies her age. She definitely loves her play time (preferably with another dog and/or stuffed animals), but she is also happy to entertain herself with a chew toy. She has been good with potty training and just needs her new owner(s) to be consistent and give her regular walks and potty breaks. Chiquita is great with other dogs of all sizes, kids, cats, and loves everyone she meets! She loves to cuddle, and would love a friendly dog sibling to pal around with. Chiquita is spayed, micro-chipped and up-to-date on vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting Chiquita, please e-mail Beth at: or phone: 310-709-4567.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chiquita, a Bellflower Westie, West Highland White Terrier/Maltese puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Westie, West Highland White Terrier/Maltese for sale in Bellflower, or seeking a Westie, West Highland White Terrier/Maltese puppy from a breeder in Bellflower.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Westie, West Highland White Terrier/Maltese breeders who help with Westie, West Highland White Terrier/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
