Facts about Snaggy

  • Breed: Chihuahua Mix
  • Color: White - With Brown Or Chocolate
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
We took this little darling when the owner was going to shoot him if he couldn't get rid of him. We called him Snaggy because his teeth were all over the place in his mouth and I called him Snaggle-tooth - Snaggy for short. He is not a nervous and snappy chihuahua but he doesn't like to be cold. Dr. Claxton did a good job with his dental and removed quite a few of his teeth. This really helped him. His hair is grown back, his breath is sooo much better. He has had a hard life, but he continues to be a snuggle bug. His greatest pleasure is to be with his people. Its hard to get a picture of him because he is right by my side with his tail wagging furiously. He is crate trained, and now neutered. People have neglected and abused him for much of his life, but he has persevered and continues to love his people. What love he has to give!

About Texas Best Choices Animal Rescue

About Our Shelter...

We started rescuing dogs in 2001 and became a non profit animal rescue in 2006 out of the sheer need to save animals from the streets, and pick up the ones dropped at our doorstep. We promote spay/neuter, and last year found forever homes for 129 animals from our location, and adopted over 400 through off site adoption..

Donate to Our Shelter...

Find the Pay Pal Donate Button on our Petfinder page or Facebook page.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are open 7 days a week by appointment. Weekends are preferred. Come see our waggin' tails and happy faces on 22 acres with large runs and a 5 acre play area. Email to ask for directions and to make an appt.

Our Adoption Process...

We have a simple contract ensuring that our rescue will be well taken care of, medically and physically, will never be tied or chained, and that a secure fenced area is provided for outdoor play. We want for each a loving home and to become part of a family. Every animal is up to date on shots and spay/neuter is required.
