Granny's Story...
Hi! I'm Granny! I weigh about 24 lbs, may get just under 30lbs :)
I woke up one morning and my family put me in the car for what seemed a normal everyday ride. wasn't. I was dropped off in a cold, loud and lonely high kill shelter.
They just left me there..and I don't know why??
My foster mama says I'm such a GOOD girl! I get along with her young daughter and love sneaking kisses from her! (Shh!) I also get along great with all the other furbabies here.
They say I might be terrier mix? And around 2yrs old. My foster mama said I can go to my new home on Sunday 12/23/12, yay!! I do a little better on a leash than my friend Gypsy (hehe).
But I too hate yucky baths! Oh yeah! I've been spayed, tested negative for heartworms, been wormed and given shots! Wanna meet me? Call today!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Granny, a Alamosa Schnauzer (Standard)/Airedale Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard)/Airedale Terrier for sale in Alamosa, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard)/Airedale Terrier dog from a breeder in Alamosa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Alamosa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Alamosa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard)/Airedale Terrier breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard)/Airedale Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Alamosa paves the way for another one to be saved.
