This little guy was a stray so we don't know much about his history before coming to us but given his shyness, we can guess. He is a little nippy when he feels threatened, particularly in the store environment, so we don't take him to Petsmart unless someone specifically wants to see him and is fully briefed on his personality. No children for this little one but he gets along with most dogs his size. Don't know about cats. He is a sweetheart when he trusts you but it will be up to you to gain that trust. He needs an experienced person to help him to learn to trust and to train him. That requires patience, experience and love. He's such a nice little guy with those he knows and will need a very special home. Unless you are able to work with rehabilitating an abused dog, this isn't the guy for you. If you are, he's a super sweetie when you get to know him...and even more so, when he gets to know you. In those circumstances you WILL NOT MEET A NICER LITTLE DOG. About our adoption process: For more information or to request an adoption application (required), please email the dog's foster listed above (no phone calls, please). There is no commitment by submitting the application - it just helps us determine if the pet you are interested in will be a good match for you. Next is a meet and greet which will be arranged with the pet's foster. If there are other dogs in your household, we suggest bringing them to ensure everyone gets along. The standard adoption fee for dogs and puppies is $140 (cash or check) which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, microchip and collar/tags.
