My StoryFor more information on this dog or to request an application, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
This little guy was a stray so we don't know much about his history before coming to us but given his shyness, we can guess. He is a little nippy when he feels threatened, particularly in the store environment, so we don't take him to Petsmart unless someone specifically wants to see him and is fully briefed on his personality. No children for this little one but he gets along with most dogs his size. Don't know about cats. He is a sweetheart when he trusts you but it will be up to you to gain that trust. He needs an experienced person to help him to learn to trust and to train him. That requires patience, experience and love. He's such a nice little guy with those he knows and will need a very special home. Unless you are able to work with rehabilitating an abused dog, this isn't the guy for you. If you are, he's a super sweetie when you get to know him...and even more so, when he gets to know you. In those circumstances you WILL NOT MEET A NICER LITTLE DOG. For more information or to submit an application, please email email@example.com. Rescue a forever friend!
About our adoption process: For more information or to request an adoption application (required), please email the dog's foster listed above (no phone calls, please). There is no commitment by submitting the application - it just helps us determine if the pet you are interested in will be a good match for you. Next is a meet and greet which will be arranged with the pet's foster. If there are other dogs in your household, we suggest bringing them to ensure everyone gets along. The standard adoption fee for dogs and puppies is $140 (cash or check) which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, microchip and collar/tags.

About the Rescue Group
Benji's Buddies was founded by a small group of volunteers who value every pet and believe in their unique individuality and their ability to enrich the lives of others.
We believe that adopting a pet is a lifetime commitment and that no matter what turns life may take, the responsibility and obligation to that pet as a family member should remain constant. Pets are NOT disposable! They are living beings who feel love, fear and loss. Too often in rescue work, we see the result of human cruelty and negligence. These pets are desperate to be loved though their trust has been broken. We feel they deserve better!
We seek adoptive families who understand the meaning of this commitment and want to give a home to a pet in need. By home, we mean a place of love and security...for the rest of their lives.
A SPECIAL THANK YOU FOR OUR SUPPORTERS:
We recently put out a plea for dog food since we were running very low and donations had slowed. The response from individual supporters was great. Thank each of you so very much. A very special thanks to Merrick Pet Food and their extremely generous donation that assures Benji’s Buddies foster dogs will be well fed for quite some time. We cannot adequately express our appreciation for this wonderful gesture. We encourage you to purchase Merrick Pet Food and support this wonderful company who has made an incredible difference for our rescued dogs. http://www.merrickpetcare.com/
