Sandy's Story...
My name is Sandy. I guess it is because I am sandy in color. I love to play and get tangled in my foster mom’s legs when she is cooking in the kitchen. I like to play with balls until my sister decides she wants to play too. Getting picked up and held is like heaven. I use the papers but sometimes my butt is not where it should be but my foster mom does not mind. Sandy is not quite big enough for us to know what breed she is. If you are interested in adopting her, please go to www.DigsK9.org to fill out an application.

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a group of volunteers dedicated to rescuing and providing sanctuary to abandoned, stray and neglected dogs. We are not a shelter as all of our rescued dogs live in foster homes where they are given enourmous amounts of love and attention while they await their forever home. Many animals are overlooked or forgotten and our goal is to give them a second chance on life and home to be loved in.
Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption process is quite simple. We ask that you complete an application on our website DigsK9.org. We are a foster based organization so special arrangements can be made for you to meet the animal you are applying for. After review of your application we will follow up with either a phone interview or a home visit. If everyone agrees that this would be a successful adoption than we make plans to finalize it.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
We are based in the Chicago-land area but are happy to accept applications from all states.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sandy, a Joliet Shar Pei puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei for sale in Joliet, or seeking a Shar Pei puppy from a breeder in Joliet.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Joliet already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Joliet breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei breeders who help with Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Joliet paves the way for another one to be saved.
