June 2008 I am about one year old and live with Abigail. I am the handsome black and tan guy. Boss came calling when he found out I was in a trap. He rescued me and gave me a chance....I have become very loving but a little shy until I trust you. I am small and will reach about fourty-five pounds max. Come see me.

Update 1/1/09 I am still Abby's boyfriend, but Boss lets me out in the morning to run at the shelter acreage, and I come back when he calls. I am full grown now even though I am not very old, but very smart and would still like to have a family. I have put on some weight, but the pictures have been updated so you can see how buff I am! I am a man's man but ladies like me too. Love, Buck

1/1/2012 I guess I have been here a while....I am happy and I love Abigail but I would like to experience a home and a family.
8/4/14 I was one of the first dogs on this property.... I guess they like me alot! I am still here and having a good life, but a family would be such a blessing, especially if Abigail could come, too! Love, Buckaroo

About Texas Best Choices Animal Rescue

About Our Shelter...

We started rescuing dogs in 2001 and became a non profit animal rescue in 2006 out of the sheer need to save animals from the streets, and pick up the ones dropped at our doorstep. We promote spay/neuter, and last year found forever homes for 129 animals from our location, and adopted over 400 through off site adoption..

Donate to Our Shelter...

Find the Pay Pal Donate Button on our Petfinder page or Facebook page.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are open 7 days a week by appointment. Weekends are preferred. Come see our waggin' tails and happy faces on 22 acres with large runs and a 5 acre play area. Email to ask for directions and to make an appt.

Our Adoption Process...

We have a simple contract ensuring that our rescue will be well taken care of, medically and physically, will never be tied or chained, and that a secure fenced area is provided for outdoor play. We want for each a loving home and to become part of a family. Every animal is up to date on shots and spay/neuter is required.
