Rosie - meet me -'s Info...
| Breed: | Catahoula Leopard Dog/Labrador Retriever Mix | Color: | Merle | Age: | Young |
| Size: | Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg) | Sex: | Female | ID#: | Danielle/Rebekah |
Rosie has a very sad start to life. She was living the mean streets of a big city with her sweet puppies, but unfortunately her puppies were taken away from her by someone looking to make a few dollars. Unfortunately, as usual, the momma Rosie was left behind. She was found by one of our incredible foster moms roaming the interstate! Rosie was full of love. She was brought into CPR, and she has been loving life ever since! She is about 2-3 years old, 55lbs, up to date on all her shots, heartworm negative and spayed. We think Rosie is some sort of Catahoula mix. She has the most beautiful markings! A blue merle, for sure! Rosie does GREAT with other dogs and cats! She loves to go for walks, and she even loves to dance! Rosie would make a great companion for ANY family, so please consider adopting this one of a kind girl!
This dog is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $375 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your taking custody. An additional $25 will be charged on adult dogs picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, Harvard Kennels or met and adopted at a foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.
TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.
After receipt of your application an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
Rescue Group Info...
CPR was formed in 2004 to assist unwanted pups and dogs with finding a new home. We rescue our pups from high kill shelters in TN, AR, MS, LA and TX. Without the dedication of the staff and volunteers of these shelters and without the assistance of CPR, the pups posted on our website would not be rescued. Before partnering with CPR, these shelters had euthanasia rates of 95%. We've reduced the euthanasia rate in all shelters by at least 50%. We rescue and rehome 200+ pups and dogs each month. We accomplish this task with the help of an awesome hard working and dedicated staff and volunteer base. Also helping us to accomplish what seems at times to be a thankless and overwhelming job is our pure and selfless love of dogs! We truly believe that rescue + rehoming = true love. <3
Upon approval of your application, we'd love to have you visit with some of our awesome rescue pups at our adoption center in Southbury. We have open hours every Saturday from 10-2. All other hours are by appointment only upon approval of your adoption application.
We are at Petco in Southington the 2nd Saturday of every month and at Petsmart in Plainville the 4th Saturday.
Each Friday in September, we'll be at Petland Discounts on Main Street in Southbury.
Please visit our website at www.cprdogs.com and check out our event calendar for more upcoming events.
Please visit our website at www.cprdogs.com for our online application. Upon approval, one of our hard working adoption counselors will be in touch and help you finalize the adoption of your new family member.
The adoption contract is also found on our website. While it's not necessary to sign the contract until you are ready to finalize the adoption, you may want to look over it just to make sure you are agreeable to all our requirements.
Our adoption fees cover all of the pre-adoption vet work and transportation costs.
Because we don't get many requests to assist with CT pups/dogs, the pups/dogs posted on our website have all come from high kill shelters in TN, AR, MS, LA and TX.
Via Road Dogs Transport (www.roaddogstransport.com), they are transported to our Southbury Adoption Center or directly to their new families when all of their vet work is complete.
One of our previous adopters, and also the owner of Big Apple Pet Supply, did a You Tube video for us. It is a very informative video and will help you prepare for the big day:
